Qwest Wins $14.2 Million NASA Contract to Upgrade Corporate Backbone Circuits

NASA has awarded a $14.2 million contract to Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q), to upgrade its Corporate Backbone circuits from 2.5Gbps to 10Gbps.

Diana Gowen, Qwest Government Services, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Qwest Government Services, said of the contract win, “Qwest provides a nationwide wavelength infrastructure that will provide NASA with a broad range of technical capabilities for supporting the International Space Station and other missions into the frontiers of space.”
