Boeing Awarded $65M Army Loading System, Ballistic Protection Kit


boeing logoBoeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $65.4 million contract to provide ballistic protection equipment for the U.S. Army.

The firm-fixed-price contract, which involved an online bidding process, is for over 400 pieces of cargo on/off loading system A and B kits and another 22 COOLS ballistic protection system kits, the DoD said Tuesday.

The Army Contracting Command, the contracting activity, has earmarked $65, 358, 994 from fiscal 2013 to fund the deal, with work to commence at Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, through late 2019.
