Eight companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $800 million contract to provide support services for the U.S. Agency for International Development to help improve development outcomes in countries affected by conflict, fragility and violence.
USAID announced the awardees on the Programming for Prevention and Peacebuilding indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through notices originally published Thursday.
The P4P2 IDIQ contract seeks to help USAID implement programs that intend to prevent the outbreak, recurrence or escalation of conflict and violence and promote peaceful, resilient societies, among other purposes, according to the request for proposals.
According to the statement of work, the contractors should initiate cross-sectoral programs that use systems-based approaches to determine and address the sources, root causes and consequences of violence and conflict and provide analyses, technical assistance and direct program implementation and use collaborating, learning and adapting approaches and evaluation and monitoring techniques across several technical areas.
These technical areas include fragility, crime and violence prevention, conflict prevention and peacebuilding, atrocity prevention and countering disinformation and hate speech.
