This cost-plus-fixed-fee contract worth $40.5 billion for health care delivery has a base period of nine months, five one-year option periods, and a transition-out period. The Defense Health Agency’s Contracting Operations Division in Aurora, Colorado, will oversee the contractor’s operations.
2. DHA Tricare Managed Service Contract Extension

This contract modification to the Military Health System will replace the TRICARE Extra and TRICARE Standard with TRICARE Select, as mandated by the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act.
Starting on January 1, 2017, and ending on December 31, 2022, the operations will spread across the eastern half of the United States at various military service component sites, contractor call centers, and within an integrated healthcare provider network.
