Peraton to Support Army Pacific Command Satcom Tech Under $72M Contract; Stu Shea Comments

The Defense Information Systems Agency has awarded Peraton a potential five-year, $71.8 million contract to help the U.S. Army Pacific Command implement and manage commercial satellite communications technology.

Peraton said Thursday it will also provide satellite services, technical and engineering support for mobile and fixed platforms of USARPAC’s network architecture.

Stu Shea, CEO of Peraton, said the company works with U.S. defense, intelligence and civilian customers to help them address satellite and terrestrial communications requirements.

The company will deliver managed network services and platforms intended to connect the Army and its Pacific Rim allies during missions, as well as support USARPAC network from a Herndon, Virginia, operations facility.

The contract contains one base year and four option years.
