Peraton has received a 20-month other transaction agreement to develop, engineer and integrate a satellite ground terminal system to support the U.S. Armys tactical space defense mission.
The company said Tuesday it will be the prime contractor for research and development of the station prototype designed to work with military satellites in low-Earth orbit.
Stan Kekauoha, vice president for national security space at Peraton, said the contract builds on the companys experience providing cyber, communications, intelligence, electronic warfare and space technology platforms to the U.S. military and intelligence community.
