Chris Taylor
Chris Taylor, founder and former CEO of Novitas Group, has joined government market research firm Govini as CEO.
Govini said Tuesday he succeeds founder Eric Gillespie, who will shift into a new role as executive chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Taylor established Novitas in 2012 to offer a range of technology and professional services and previously served as CEO of military and intelligence services contractor Mission Essential.
He also teaches national security courses at Georgetown University as an adjunct professor.
“Chris’ understanding of Govini’s mission and his leadership in the national security sector make him a natural fit for the opportunities in front us, and a knowledgeable partner to the clients we serve,” Gillespie said.
Both Gillespie and Taylor will aim to engage closely with government customers and contractors as part of the company’s business strategy.
Govini investors have included Salesforce‘s (NYSE: CRM) ventures arm, Symphony Technology Group and Accel Partners.
