Serco North America has named Barbara Supplee, a 2026 Wash100 Award winner, as its next chief executive officer, effective September 28. Supplee succeeds Michael LaRouche, a fellow Wash100 honoree, and will take charge of the division’s mission-critical services portfolio serving government and commercial customers.

As CEO, Supplee will lead a workforce of approximately 10,000 employees across a portfolio of more than 700 active contracts. She will guide the division’s continued advancement of capabilities spanning autonomy, command and control, systems engineering and integration, and modernization — all in direct support of customer mission priorities.

Serco Group CEO Anthony Kirby highlighted Supplee’s operational depth and her alignment with the company’s strategic direction in North America.

Who Is Barbara Suplee?
Supplee brings more than two decades of progressively senior roles across defense contracting, systems engineering and strategy to her new position.
She spent nearly seven years at BAE Systems early in her career, starting as a systems engineer in San Diego before advancing to principal systems engineer and later manager of Navy programs. She then moved into strategy and transitioned into business leadership as executive director of BAE Systems’ C5ISR, Electronics and Infrastructure Solutions business. There, she held profit-and-loss responsibility for a unit of more than 400 personnel before serving as senior capture director through early 2021.
Supplee joined CACI International in April 2019 as vice president, rising to vice president of business development and then senior vice president before departing in late 2022. She briefly served as vice president and general manager for Navy and Marine Corps programs at GDIT before joining SAIC in March 2023. At SAIC, she advanced from senior vice president to executive vice president — first overseeing a broad portfolio and later leading the Army Navy Business Group, a role she held until her appointment at Serco.
