- He is tasked with helping develop systems meant to close the readiness gap
Former ServiceNow executive Andrej Danko has joined Air as chief product and technology officer as the company expands its work with military branches, the intelligence community, federal civilian agencies, allied governments and industry partners, the Arlington, Virginia-based company said Tuesday.
What Will Danko Oversee at Air?
In his new position, Danko will oversee Air’s product strategy, development and engineering, along with all of the company’s research and development, driving continuous innovation of systems meant to close the readiness gap between front-line needs and what the national security enterprise can deliver. He is also tasked with helping build out the company’s core technical capabilities, including its artificial intelligence-native system, Air Enterprise Readiness.
Air CEO Tara Murphy Dougherty said Danko combines strong technical expertise with a track record of scaling AI-driven products in the public sector. She added that his leadership of the product and engineering teams will be essential as Air works to meet growing demand and pressing readiness needs, helping to ensure the Air Enterprise Readiness platform continues to deliver for the front line.
Danko’s appointment follows other leadership changes at Air since its rebranding from Govini, including the appointment of NightDragon CEO Dave DeWalt to the company’s board and former ID.me CEO David Kensick as its chief operating officer.
What Experience Does Danko Bring to Air?
At ServiceNow, Danko was general manager and vice president of product management, responsible for global public sector product management, including AI strategy and product execution. His work included agentic AI deployments for the Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Homeland Security and defense partners in other countries.
Danko also served as VP of product and design at both Productboard and CEAI. He also held leadership positions at Merlon Intelligence, Healthmode, Shortlist and Sourcewater. Earlier in his career, he spent over 10 years at SAP, most recently as global director of product and engineering for SAP Business One.
