Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential four-year, $93 million contract to help the U.S. Marine Corps develop and maintain software for a command and control personal computer system.
The company will also provide software development and maintenance support for a tactical service oriented architecture under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
C2PC is designed to help Marines view the common operational picture from a Global Command and Control System-based server and exchange tactical information from other C2PC workstations.
The TSOA system consists of software platforms designed to offer a common, open architecture for C2 applications across the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
Northrop is scheduled to complete the base period of performance Dec. 30, 2017, and could extend work through 2021 if the service branch exercises all orderings periods.
