Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY) was awarded a potential $50 million basic ordering agreement to provide the Naval Air Systems Command with company-made Advanced Data Transfer System products and services.
Over a three-year period, Mercury will deliver data transfer units and devices, encryption modules and other ADTS-related hardware to NAVAIR for mission support, the company said Thursday.
The system offers secured data, video and audio loading and recording capabilities to help the military conduct mission data analysis. It is designed to transfer information from rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aircraft to ground units while ensuring its cybersecurity.
Jay Abendroth, vice president and general manager of Mercury Mission, cited the company’s collaboration history with NAVAIR and welcomed the new opportunity to provide one of the U.S. Navy’s systems commands with mission-critical technologies.
Mercury will perform BOA work at its Torrance, California location.
