MANTECH has appointed Christopher Copeland, a 25-year technology industry veteran, as chief innovation officer and Brian Keith, a former Microsoft executive, as chief digital officer and vice president for the company’s digital practice.

What Are Copeland’s & Keith’s Responsibilities at MANTECH?
In a LinkedIn post published Monday, MANTECH said Copeland will guide the development of next-generation technology platforms designed to address client mission challenges.
Keith will lead the strategy to apply cloud, software engineering and enterprise technologies across MANTECH’s defense, intelligence and civilian customer base, directing the company’s digital practice toward mission outcomes for those clients, the company said in a separate post published Tuesday.
Who Is Christopher Copeland?
Copeland is a technology executive with more than 25 years of industry experience, recognized for his work in emerging technologies that support mission performance across the federal market.
He joined MANTECH in 2024 as chief digital officer following a career serving federal government customers, during which he implemented technology strategies spanning cloud, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. His work has touched a portfolio of approximately 60 government agencies.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Copeland spent 25 years at Accenture Federal Services, where he architected and implemented large-scale mission-critical systems.
Who Is Brian Keith?
Keith is a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 25 years of experience building and leading technology organizations at the intersection of national security and business growth. Before joining MANTECH, he served as general manager of national security specialist sales at Microsoft, where he led a business exceeding $500 million in cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity and enterprise application work. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at IBM, where he led the company’s first large-scale Watson deployment outside of IBM Research.
Keith began his career as a naval flight officer, supporting command-and-control, communications and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. He is also credited as a co-inventor on three U.S. patents related to AI, predictive insights and data analytics.
The United States Naval Academy graduate holds an MBA in information systems from Old Dominion University.
What Other Leadership Changes & Contract Awards Has MANTECH Seen in 2026?
The latest appointments continue a series of executive changes MANTECH has made this year. The company named Eric Brown chief product officer, elevated Kristen Summers to chief data and AI officer and promoted Brandy Durham to chief technology officer in July. Douglas Orellana was recently named digital practice CTO and vice president. MANTECH also appointed Scott Keenan as vice president of growth for defense and space and brought on Sarah Carter as chief growth officer earlier in the year.
MANTECH has also continued to expand its contract portfolio in 2026. The company secured a position on a potential seven-year, $875 million intelligence community cyber contract in April, won a five-year, $197 million research, development, test and evaluation project with the Naval Surface Warfare Center in July and secured a role on a $148 million Navy carrier readiness contract with HII in August. MANTECH also acquired data science and AI platform provider Elder Research to expand its data and AI practice under Durham.
