Brandy Durham has been elevated to senior vice president and chief technology officer at MANTECH. The company made the announcement in a LinkedIn post on Monday. Durham most recently served as the chief data and artificial intelligence officer for the Herndon, Virginia-based contractor.
As CTO, Durham will head MANTECH’s newly formed Technology and Capabilities Organization. The TCO houses the company’s data, AI, cybersecurity, and digital practices, as well as the Innovation and Capabilities Organization. MANTECH said the new structure will drive the development and deployment of its technologies in coordination with defense, space, intelligence and homeland security clients.
“MANTECH’s growth reflects the strength of our people and the trust of our clients,” Durham wrote in a separate LinkedIn post. “I am honored to lead our technical talent – some of the best in the country – to design and deliver innovative and game-changing capabilities to all of our clients!”

Durham took on the chief data and AI officer role in January, directing MANTECH’s AI strategy, execution and client implementation. She joined the company in 2023 as vice president of its data and AI practice. Her earlier career includes an AI leadership post at Amazon Web Services serving the national security community and more than a decade at IBM handling data, AI and analytics work for federal and public sector clients.

How Has MANTECH Expanded Its Technology Portfolio?
The CTO appointment follows a stretch of AI-focused moves at the company. MANTECH acquired data science firm Elder Research in March and has partnered with Oracle to support government AI workloads. The company has also delivered machine learning capabilities to the Department of Homeland Security to strengthen border security operations.
