AWS argued in the Oct. 23 court filing that the JEDI contract award should be invalidated over “systematic bias, bad faith and undue influence exerted by President Trump.”
Attorneys for DoD said in court responses unsealed Wednesday that AWS’ contract protest is a “prohibited strategic gambit.”
“It is time we moved on and got this technology in the hands or those who urgently need it: the women and men who protect our nation,” Frank Shaw, corporate vice president of communications at Microsoft, said in a statement in response to AWS' complaint.
In September, the Pentagon reaffirmed its decision to award the JEDI contract to Microsoft. A month after, Judge Patricia Campbell-Smith released the court’s schedule through Dec. 1. Attorneys for AWS, Microsoft and DoD agreed on a potential schedule that would run through February.
