Highlander Partners-Backed High Point Buys Drone Defense Tech Developer Flex Force

High Point Aerotechnologies, a portfolio company of private investment firm Highlander Partners, has acquired Flex Force Enterprises for an undisclosed amount as part of a push to expand its portfolio of counter-unmanned aircraft systems and broaden its footprint in the drone security market.

Portland, Oregon-based Flex Force is the maker of the Dronebuster c-UAS jammer and has been providing drone defense and remote weapons systems for governments worldwide since 2016, High Point said Tuesday.

Flex Force also supplies technologies in signal processing, software and robotics to military organizations, law enforcement agencies and private security companies around the world.

High Point CEO Al White said the acquisition underscores the company’s commitment to providing its clients with a complete array of cutting-edge technologies.

“A variety of layered defense solutions is required to address the drone threats of today and tomorrow, and I am looking forward to what our teams will build together,” White added.

Ben Slater, chairman of High Point, said the transaction demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a presence across the UAS and c-UAS markets and Flex Force will be a key asset given its strong partnerships across the security and military industries and approach to drone defense.
