Four companies have won positions on a potential five-year, $300 million contract to provide information technology and engineering support services to a government-owned, government-operated organization focused on producing and maintaining IT-based simulation and training systems.
In separate FedBizOpps notices posted Wednesday, GSA named Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), Applied Visual Technology, J.F. Taylor and MES Simulation & Training as awardees on the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Contractors will vie for orders to support the 502d Trainer Development Squadron, headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio Randolph in Texas. Each awardee will receive a $40 million minimum guarantee.
According to a FedBizOpps summary, 502 TDS produces classroom training aids, static trainers and other technical training platforms. The squadron also engineers various systems for the Department of Defense and foreign military sales customers.
