With a total contract value worth $99 million, ATI was tasked to perform development, testing, and evaluation to help run and maintain the US Navy’s center of excellence built to develop naval technologies for private enterprises.

Before Advanced Technology International landed the previous contract, the Office of Naval Research awarded the non-profit public service company a $99 million IDIQ contract on January 19, 2017, to support the US Navy’s Navy Composites Manufacturing Center of Excellence (CoE).

The prime objective of the Navy’s CoE is to identify, develop, facilitate, and deploy potential solution sets to shipyards across the US, industrial facilities, and metalworking and manufacturing technologies. Additionally, the CoE will help the US Navy reduce costs and time in building and repairing key naval platforms and vessels.

At the time of the awarding, Advanced Technology International was granted a combined $350,000 to complete the first two task orders of the IDIQ. Work commenced in Anderson, South Carolina, and was concluded on January 19, 2022.
