Advanced Technology International to Support Navy Composite Manufacturing CoE Under $99M Contract

Advanced Technology International has won a potential five-year, $99 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the U.S. Navy‘s center of excellence for composites manufacturing technology.

The Defense Department said Thursday the military branch will concurrently award two task orders worth a combined $350, 000 with the IDIQ contract.

The service branch obligated fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds for the initial orders.

South Carolina Research Authority’s Applied Research and Development Institute operates the Composites Manufacturing Technology Center for the Navy.

The Navy established the center to identify, produce and facilitate the deployment of potential technology sets to U.S. shipyards and other industrial facilities, DoD said.

ATI will perform contract work in Anderson, South Carolina, through Jan. 19, 2022.
