The Department of Defense has issued a second draft solicitation to provide interested stakeholders with updated information on two fifth-generation TRICARE managed care support contracts that could be worth at least $58B combined, Bloomberg Government reported Tuesday.
A notice posted Friday on the beta SAM website says the second draft request for proposals for T-5 contracts includes updates to TRICARE manuals and several areas of the contract, draft award fee criteria, revised process for return of clinical information, redrafted network requirement for industry feedback, list of high value military knowledge, skills and ability codes, revised APM criteria and draft locations for beneficiary choice and competitive demonstrations.
"A smaller version 2.1 draft is expected in the coming weeks with clinical quality metrics and revised referral management processes,” the notice reads.
DoD released in late August the first draft RFP for the two T-5 contracts, which seek to support the delivery of health care services to about 9M service personnel, veterans and their dependents enrolled in the country’s TRICARE system.
The Pentagon will accept responses to the latest draft RFP through Jan. 8.
