DARPA Taps Northrop, Raytheon, Collins Aerospace to Develop Counter-A2/AD Platforms

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Collins Aerospace has landed contracts from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop technology platforms for countering anti-access/area denial threats.

DARPA selected the three companies to participate in the first and second phases of the System-of-Systems Enhanced Small Unit program, according to a notice posted Tuesday on the beta SAM website.

Raytheon's, Northrop's and Collins Aerospace's individual contracts are valued at $23.1M, $16.9M and $5.3M, respectively.

The SESU program seeks a set of systems, including command-and control and sensor platforms, that would help small military units perform missions in an A2/AD environment.
