John Albers, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder

John Albers is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer at Albers Aerospace. He manages the company’s growth portfolio, setting its product and service excellence trajectory in the government and commercial sectors. One of his leadership’s most significant milestones is accelerating unprecedented growth across various business pursuits and people retention initiatives.

Albers has been with the U.S. military for the longest time in his career. During his two-decade tenure, he has served in different divisions of the Navy and Marine Corps, namely the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Naval Air Systems Command, and Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

Following his retirement from the military, Albers joined the private sector as the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering at Raytheon. Shortly after, he assumed office as a Business Development Executive at Camtech LLC. Finally, in 2018, he established his own company and has been serving as the President and CEO of Albers Aerospace since.

 

Brian Simmerman, Chief Financial Officer

Possessing financial expertise spanning over 25 years, Brian Simmerman handles the investment portfolio of Albers Aerospace. As the Chief Financial Officer, his duties encompass accounting, human resources, program controls, and contracting activities for growth and operational excellence. Simmerman joined the company in July 2022.

Simmerman began his professional journey as a Corporal in the Marine Corps. After his four-year military experience, he held increasing finance leadership positions at Raytheon Intelligence & Space from 1996-2004 and 2008-20018. Simmerman also earned valuable skills during his time at ITT, Cobham, L3Harris Technologies, Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, and Narda-MITEQ.

 

Mike Frizzell, Chief Technology Officer

Mike Frizzell, Chief Technology Officer

Mike Frizzell is the Chief Technology Officer at Albers Aerospace. He handles a robust technology portfolio, boosting the company’s business development, product qualities, and engineering support, among others. Frizzell initially joined Albers Aerospace in July 2019 as a part-time Systems Engineering Advisor. He still holds this position simultaneously as the technology executive.

A big part of Frizzell’s technology experience is attributed to his time at Raytheon. He first joined the company as the Senior Software Engineer II with Honors from 2004 to 2009 and later rejoined as the Principal Systems Engineer from 2010 to 2016. Frizzell’s other experiences consist of being a Senior Consultant at Cogent Company, Director and Treasurer at Fear and Wonder, and Directory of External Technology at Watermark Community Church.

 

Earl G. Matthews, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary

Earl G. Matthews is an industry veteran with over two decades of experience in the defense sector. He has served in numerous government agencies, tasked forces, offices, and teams involved in national intelligence, homeland security, defense operations, and public services. In April 2023, Matthews joined Albers Aerospace as the Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary.

As a long-time Colonel of the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard, Matthews was able to expand his leadership toolkit. His expert contributions to the public and private sectors earned him several recognitions, such as the ‘Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service,’ ‘Department of the Army Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service, and more.

 

Rob Winston, Executive Vice President of Innovative Technologies

Rob Winston, Executive Vice President of Innovative Technologies

Rob “Radar” Winston oversees the creation of cutting-edge solutions for the warfighting capabilities and dual-use technologies of Albers Aerospace. As the Executive Vice President of Innovative Technologies, he leads a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for providing products and services for aviation companies and the Department of Defense.

Winston has accumulated over four decades of comprehensive experience in strategic planning, multi-engine aviation, program acquisition, and aerospace engineering. On top of his current capacity as an innovation technology executive at Albers Aerospace, he heads the company’s aviation startup, HopFlyt, Inc., aiming to create a disruptive on-demand transportation movement.

 

 

Mike W. Guest, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing

Mike W. Guest, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing

Mike W. Guest serves as the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing at Albers Aerospace and the President of Heritage Aviation, Ltd., an Albers Aerospace company. His duties for both capacities cover a broad scope of manufacturing, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assemblies of wires, cables, and mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Guest brings to the table over over 35 years of experience in aviation manufacturing. He has participated in the organic and acquired growth of government and commercial customers’ manufacturing initiatives. Guest’s most recent notable contribution is his involvement in manufacturing AS9100 Aerospace quality systems and development efforts.
