Vectrus™ (NYSE: VEC) systems subsidiary has received a five-year, $151M task order to engineer command, control, communications, computer and intelligence systems that support the U.S. Navy™s afloat operations.
Work covers end-to-end systems engineering work on C4I platforms the military branch uses to manage shore facilities, strike groups, command ships and ballistic missile defense vessels, Vectrus said Friday.
The company will also provide fleet experimentation services and system assessments to ensure the systems can be rapidly restored in the event of cyber attacks, system malfunctions and other disruptive events.
Chuck Prow, president and CEO of Vectrus and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said the company has supported the Fleet Systems Engineering Team program since 1999.
“Our afloat teams provide a full range of keyboard to antenna support services that are integral to the readiness of U.S. Navy ships. Importantly, under this task order Vectrus will now perform as a prime contractor.”
The branch issued the recompete task order through its SeaPort-e contract vehicle.
