The Defense Information Systems Agency’s Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization has awarded Modern Technology Solutions Inc. a potential $416 million contract, including a $37 million task order for technology integration and related support to the Air Force Global Strike Command.
What Is Covered Under the AFGSC Tech Integration Contract?
MTSI said Wednesday the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, issued through the Small Business Innovation Research program as a Phase III award, is intended to expand sensor capabilities across a wide range of Air Force and AFGSC systems and programs. The award covers technical, programmatic and operational support to AFGSC and other Department of War mission partners to advance weapon systems, munitions, sensors, technologies, training, logistics, and tactics, techniques and procedures.
“MTSI is excited to work with AFGSC and future partners to strengthen U.S. global deterrence through the development of cutting-edge weapon systems and technologies,” said Vance Drenkhahn, executive vice president of defense services at MTSI.

What Are Some of MTSI’s Previous Government Contracts?
In line with its modernization efforts, the Air Force also awarded MTSI a potential $48.5 million contract in March to provide engineering and cybersecurity services for the Implementation of Advanced Government Simulation Architectures program, which aims to advance the government’s simulation capabilities.
In November, the company received a $111 million contract modification for engineering, integration and testing services supporting the Space Systems Command’s space-based interceptors.
