United Technologies Corp.‘s (NYSE: UTX) aerospace systems unit has secured contracts worth more than $140 million to help the update propeller systems in the U.S. Navy‘s C/KC-130T aircraft.
The UTC Aerospace Systems business has also completed nine of 12 contracted propeller upgrades for the Air National Guard’s C-130H planes, the company said said Monday.
NATO’s support and procurement agency awarded the contracts, which have a combined potential value of $140 million.
UTC Aerospace Systems will equip NAVAIR and ANG transport aircraft with the NP2000 propeller system that will feature eight composite blades and updated electronic control technology.
