The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center has released a draft request for proposals for a potential five-year, $180 million follow-on, multiple-award contract for ocean engineering support services.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will be set aside for small businesses and cover the provision of engineering services in support of ocean cable systems, waterfront facilities, ocean work systems, offshore structures, moorings and ocean construction equipment, according to a notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.
OMAC 4 has a five-year base period of performance and an option to extend work for six months.
Seven companies support ocean facilities projects within the NAVFAC EXWC area of responsibility under the predecessor $245 million IDIQ contract awarded in 2018, which is set to expire on Oct. 25.
Interested parties have until Nov. 1 to respond to the presolicitation notice.
