MacAulay-Brown has purchased Enlighten IT Consulting for an undisclosed sum in a push to expand MacBs portfolio of cybersecurity offerings and client base in the federal market.
MacB will operate EITC as a wholly owned subsidiary and that EITC CEO Shawn Justice will directly report to Sid Fuchs, president and CEO of MacB, EITC said Tuesday.
Fuchs said the transaction seeks to help both firms develop and implement cloud, agile development, data analytics and cybersecurity platforms for clients across the U.S. government market.
The deal marks MacBs third acquisition in four years following its purchase of Commonwealth Technology in 2014 and Secure Computing & Communicationsin 2013.
Bluestone Capital Partners served as EITCs exclusive adviser in the transaction.
Linthicum Heights, Maryland-based EITC has provided cloud engineering, big data and analytics platforms to the Defense Department and Intelligence Community since 2007 and developed the Rapid Analytic Deployment and Management Framework designed for use with the big data platforms analytic components.
MacB has corporate headquarters in Virginia and Ohio with at least 1, 500 employees worldwide and works to provide cybersecurity tools and engineering support services to DoD, IC, special operations forces and other federal agencies.
