Lockheed Receives $122M Contract to Supply Army Apache Sensor Hardware

The missiles and fire control unit of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $121.6 million contract to supply the U.S. Army with components for an integrated targeting and pilotage system designed to help Apache helicopter aircrews identify targets.

Under the firm-fixed-price contract, the business will deliver Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision System parts and hardware to the service branch, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Army Contracting Command received only one bid through an online-based solicitation.

The M-TADS/PVNS is equipped with an electro-optical sensor technology that offers situational awareness capability for Apache pilots.
