Army Selects Elbit Systems, L3Harris for $92M Aviator Imaging Tech Supply Contract

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and Elbit Systems of America have won a four-year, $92.4 million shared contract to manufacture helmet-mounted image intensification technology for U.S. Army aviators.

The two companies will compete for orders under the service branch’s Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System III program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The third-generation ANVIS is designed to help Army aircrew manage flight operations in low light or degraded visual environments and can operate with low-profile battery or power supply from aircraft, according to the Army.

Army Contracting Command received two bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via the internet and determine performance locations and funds with each order.

The Pentagon expects work to conclude on Aug. 22, 2025.
