Deloitte said Monday the deal seeks to further the professional services firm’s ability to help clients generate insights from threat intelligence and respond to potential security risks through its Detect and Respond service.
“Commercial and government entities contend with cyber adversaries who use incredibly sophisticated technology to penetrate legacy defenses and take advantage of expanding attack surfaces,” said Deborah Golden, a principal at Deloitte & Touche and U.S. cyber and strategic risk leader at Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory.
Golden added the acquisition of R9B will expand Deloitte’s team of cyber professionals and technology platforms designed to help clients detect, prevent and mitigate cyber threats and gain an advantage against adversaries.
R9B provides managed cyber threat hunting and response support, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, defensive security and hunt operator training, incident response and defense forensics services for customers.
