Cummins to Extend Army Diesel Engine Supply Under $347M Contract

Cummins has booked a new firm-fixed-price contract valued at $347.4 million to supply the U.S. Army with new and remanufactured diesel engines for the Bradley fighting vehicle and other ground military platforms.

The branch is procuring V903 Cummins series products with 600 and 675 horsepower, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Columbus, Indiana-based Cummins was awarded $257.6 million in January 2018 to produce the engines.

The new contract will also support the Army’s M109 family of vehicles, Multiple Launch Rocket System and Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle, according to solicitation documents.
