He will report to Tom Eldridge, SAIC’s government affairs SVP, and work out of the company’s office in Rosslyn, Virginia, the company said Tuesday.
Eldridge said he believes Bonsell’s defense policy experience can help the company and its customers.
Bonsell previously served as legislative director and deputy chief of staff at Sen. James Inhofe’s (R-Okla.) office and as minority staff director of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
He also worked in a vice president role at Robinson International from 2007 to 2012.
Prior to his public and private sector career, Bonsell served in the U.S. Army as chief of concepts and doctrine and retired from the military service as field artillery officer.
