CAE Awarded Over $117.5 Million in Defense Contracts


CAECAE announced Tuesday that it was awarded three defense contracts, totalling over C$150 million ($117.5 million USD).

The first contract was to develop an MH-60R maintenance and rear-crew trainers for Royal Australian Navy.

The second contract was  provide two UH-72A Lakota flight training devices (FTD) for U.S. Army. The contract was awarded by Airbus Defense and Space, Inc.

The third contract was to provide two full-mission simulators for a client in the Europe, Middle East,  Africa region.

CAE has focused on being a training simulation integrator and “these additional contracts we are announcing today are all related to the extended use of simulation-based training as part of these programs, further demonstrating that global defence forces are increasingly adopting synthetic training for more of their training requirements, “ said Gene Colabatistto, CAE’s Group President, Defence & Security and recipient of the Executive Mosaic 2015 Wash100 Award.
