The business will use the tagline “unlocking measurement insights for 75 years” to honor the original Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), from which Agilent was spun off, Agilent said.
Ron Nersesian was appointed to lead Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Keysight as president and CEO.
“Keysight reflects our rich heritage—a direct line from both Hewlett-Packard’s standards of integrity and innovation and Agilent’s premier measurement business, ” Nersesian said.
“This name captures the spirit of our organization—innovative, insightful and forward-looking, ” Nersesian added.
Keysight will have a global workforce of 9, 500 people and deliver a range of testing and measuring tools to the aerospace, defense, semiconductor, computer and wireless industries.
