“We look forward to continued collaboration with the Air Force to realize the affordability benefits and a fully integrated, evolvable net-centric capability, ” said Mike Twyman, Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector vice president and general manager for defense systems.
The award exercises an option on a contract awarded in March 2012 and follows the Pentagon’s milestone B approval under an initiative for that program. Northrop will perform design, evaluation and system deployment during the AOC EMD stage.
Northrop will also continue warfighter analysis workshops to demonstrate the AOC system and gather feedback from operational users.
