EPA awards Raytheon nearly $1 billion


On Wednesday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA, by way of the Information Technology Solutions-EPA II contract under GSA Schedule 70, awarded Raytheon a blanket purchase agreement worth $955 million.

The contract calls for Raytheon to provide infrastructure support to the EPA pertaining to secure information exchange, data analysis, and scientific investigation.

According to the company, the contract will expand its environmental services, including remote sensing, data management, and geographic information systems at EPA ecology research laboratories.
