Raytheon Wins $191M for Air Force Targeting System

Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) has won a $191, 009, 635 contract to supply a military targeting system and associated accessories to the U.S. Air Force, the Defense Department announced Friday.

The Waltham, Mass.-based firm will provide a Multi-Spectral Targeting System Model B turrets, high-definition electronic units, containers and shop replaceable units.

Work will occur in McKinney, Texas and the Pentagon expects work to finish on Sept. 30, 2012.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

The company recently won a $106 million Navy contract to provide Aegis missile defense radar systems and has supported the Navy’s Aegis programs for three decades.

Those systems will support a future class of Arleigh Burke destroyers.
