Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) has won a potential $78 million U.S. Air Force contract to continue providing engineering services for a missile warning system.

The Bethesda, Md.-based contractor said the follow-on award has an initial $21.5 million value for maintaining the shared early warning system.

The system is installed at 37 sites in the U.S. European Command, Central Command and Pacific Command regions.

The company will also support the program’s foreign military sales case development, export control, research and development and equipment acquisition and installation.
