Aretum Names Peter Santighian CEO; Rohit Gupta Moves to Board

  • Santighian led defense, intelligence and health work at Everforth ECS
  • Gupta has served as CEO since May 2024
  • Aretum holds more than 100 contracts across 30 federal agencies

Aretum has named Peter Santighian chief executive officer, succeeding Rohit Gupta, who will join the company’s board of directors.

The company said Santighian will focus on strategy, customer engagement and new mission-focused offerings. Gupta, a two-time Wash100 Award winner who has led Aretum since May 2024, will advise on long-term strategy and support the transition from the board.

What Experience Does Santighian Bring to Aretum?

Santighian brings nearly three decades of expertise in the federal sector. He most recently served as executive vice president of defense, intelligence and health at Everforth ECS, where he led strategy, growth and delivery for Department of War customers across cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise transformation, AI and machine learning, and acquisition management.

He was previously chief strategy officer at Halvik, driving seven consecutive years of 40-plus percent year-over-year growth, according to his LinkedIn profile. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Stanley Associates, CGI Federal, Edgesource and in his first tenure with ECS. ECS has changed its name to Everforth ECS following the rebranding of its parent company, ASGN, to Everforth.

Santighian holds a master’s degree from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from American University.

What Does Aretum Do?

Aretum maintains an extensive federal footprint, managing over 100 contracts across 30 civilian, DOD, and Department of Homeland Security agencies, with a ~90 percent prime-contractor execution rate. Primary service offerings include enterprise digital transformation, cybersecurity, data analytics and operational mission support.

  • Applied innovation: Aretum Labs serves as the company’s R&D engine, developing proprietary AI-driven tools tailored for federal applications, including FedRequest, DAPPER, AIM, AuditChain and FedNav. Santighian acknowledged prior leadership for launching Aretum Labs and consolidating constituent business units into a unified “One Aretum” brand.
  • Contract vehicle access: In August, Aretum was awarded a prime spot on the enterprisewide IT service solutions category of NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI government-wide acquisition contract. The position means Aretum will be able to help agencies pursue enterprise IT priorities spanning digital transformation, cybersecurity upgrades, cloud migration, application development, systems integration, data and analytics work, and broader mission-support functions.

How Did Aretum Reach Its Current Scale?

Formed by Renovus Capital Partners in 2023, Aretum acquired Arlington, Virginia-based federal contractor Miracle Systems. Miracle and Renovus portfolio company Panum Telecom were combined and placed under the Aretum umbrella to better support government agencies’ mission through technology and management consulting services.

Later in 2023, Aretum acquired Artemis Consulting, followed by the December 2025 acquisition of Veterans Engineering, now managed as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Manan Shah, a partner at Renovus, emphasized that Santighian’s appointment aligns with the company’s focus on scaling growth.

“Peter is an accomplished leader who has built and scaled federal technology businesses and developed strong teams along the way. He understands what it takes to win and deliver mission-critical work for federal customers, and he is deeply committed to growing people as well as revenue,” Shah said.
