What Is the Scope of the Contract?
The Department of War said Monday the firm-fixed-price contract was awarded Sept. 30 and will support interoperability with the JCWA Common Runtime Stack for Data edge analytics, storage and transport capabilities within the Integrated Defensive Cyber System architecture.
What Are the Other Contract Details?
The Air Force received seven proposals for the award, which was competed through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace under a commercial solutions opening. The contract covers work at locations both inside and outside the continental U.S., with the performance period extending through Sept. 30, 2032.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, is overseeing the award.
Funds obligated at award include fiscal 2026 Air Force and Space Force operations and maintenance accounts, as well as research, development, test and evaluation funds for both services.
What Is the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture?
In 2024, U.S. Cyber Command said it planned to consolidate some Army and Air Force software factories under JCWA and establish a new program executive office. Congress mandated that the JCWA PEO be created by 2027. It will bring together program managers from six offices, including the Air Force’s Unified Platform and Joint Cyber Command and Control.
