- Andy McEnroe joined GRVTY in June 2025 as SVP of corporate development
- GRVTY now uses the deal processes McEnroe set up on every transaction
- GRVTY’s workforce has grown from about 325 employees to more than 1,200 during McEnroe’s tenure
GRVTY has promoted 2025 Wash100 Award winner Andy McEnroe to chief development officer, where he will continue leading the company’s corporate development efforts and play a central role in its long-term strategy and capital allocation.
The Tysons, Virginia-based company said Monday McEnroe will continue to oversee its mergers and acquisitions program and strategic partnerships.
GRVTY CEO Katie Selbe said McEnroe brings experience in the defense and national security markets and in advising companies on growth. She added that his ability to identify businesses that align with GRVTY’s existing capabilities positions him to guide the company’s future expansion.
How Has McEnroe Contributed to GRVTY’s Growth?
McEnroe has led GRVTY’s corporate development work since joining the company as senior vice president of corporate development in June 2025. In that role, he created the company’s M&A program and put in place the processes GRVTY uses on every deal, from identifying and vetting targets to diligence and integration.
He also oversees the company’s review of acquisition and partnership opportunities in the defense technology sector.
Since McEnroe joined, GRVTY has grown from around 325 employees to more than 1,200 as it added capabilities in the cyber effects, directed energy, maritime autonomy and space electronic warfare markets.
McEnroe said targeted acquisitions are among the quickest routes for GRVTY to expand capabilities for warfighters and intelligence operators.
McEnroe’s promotion comes as GRVTY continues to expand its executive leadership team. In September, the company named former Parsons executive Steve Finney chief growth officer. In July, it appointed Mark McNeely as chief administrative officer. Earlier in the year, GRVTY named former CIA cyber intelligence leader Peter Ranks chief strategy officer in February.
GRVTY has also expanded its advisory board, adding University of Maryland professor Vikram Manikonda in August and retired Army Lt. Gen. Tom James in June.
What Is McEnroe’s Investment Banking Background?
McEnroe worked in investment banking for nearly 20 years before GRVTY, advising defense technology and government services companies. He previously served as a managing director at Guggenheim Securities.
Earlier, he spent nearly a decade at Raymond James, where he held multiple leadership roles, including managing director of the firm’s Defense Technology & Government Services Investment Banking group.
He started his career with BB&T Capital Markets, where he progressed from analyst to VP before moving to Raymond James.
McEnroe sits on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth’s National Capital chapter.
