- CECOM awarded GDIT a $510 million, five-year WFS task order
- GDIT will sustain C5ISR-M systems at 190 locations worldwide, including Army bases and installations

General Dynamics Information Technology has received a $510 million Worldwide Field Support, or WFS, task order from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, or CECOM, to sustain systems used by soldiers and coalition forces worldwide.
The General Dynamics business unit said Monday that the five-year order, issued in July, consists of a one-year base period and four option years.
What Are GDIT’s Deliverables Under the WFS Task Order?
GDIT will provide logistics, sustainment and maintenance for the Army and coalition forces. It will support control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and medical, or C5ISR-M, equipment, including radios, command and control platforms, and environmental control systems, and deploy seasoned personnel at forward sites. Support will reach 190 locations globally, among them Army bases and installations.
Why Is CECOM’s C5ISR-M Mission Critical to the Army?
CECOM maintains the systems soldiers depend on to observe the battlefield and carry out operations in real time. The command’s readiness mission stretches from the digital domain to the front lines.
“From low-cost drones to sophisticated cyber threats, the battlefield is evolving faster than ever and increasing risks to our soldiers,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT senior vice president for defense.
Sheridan added that the company intends to bring “the latest technology and solutions to help the Army stay one step ahead of our adversaries.”
How Does the Award Expand GDIT’s Army Portfolio?
The task order adds to GDIT’s Army work in integrated base defense sustainment, flight school instruction and mission training complex support.
In August, the company secured a $1.3 billion Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support contract to operate, modernize and defend classified and unclassified networks for the Army National Guard. In October 2025, it won a $1.25 billion task order to modernize and secure IT systems for U.S. Army Europe and Africa.
Beyond the Army, GDIT landed a $988 million Navy contract in January for C5ISR modernization aboard surface combatants.
General Dynamics, whose portfolio spans business aviation, shipbuilding, land combat vehicles, munitions and technology services, employs more than 120,000 people and reported $52.6 billion in 2025 revenue.
