Sabel Systems has appointed Mini Polaski, an aerospace engineering veteran, as senior vice president and general manager of its Aerospace Digital Acceleration, or ADAx, business unit, and Alexis Wenzel, a defense business development leader, as VP of business development for the U.S. Air Force account.
In a statement published Monday, Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of Sabel Systems and a four-time Wash100 awardee, said the appointments reflect the caliber of leadership needed to execute the company’s vision for scaling its Air Force product lifecycle management work.
“With these appointments, we’re positioned to accelerate innovation, capture significant growth opportunities, and deliver transformative digital capabilities that directly impact mission success,” Purvis added.
What Are the Responsibilities of Polaski & Wenzel at Sabel Systems?
In her new role, Polaski will help address legacy system constraints within the ADAx unit and increase delivery velocity for customers.
As business development VP, Wenzel will build up partnerships and identify growth opportunities for the Air Force account, aligning Sabel’s capabilities with the service’s priorities and warfighter needs.
Who Is Mini Polaski?
Polaski is a systems and aerospace engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience across major defense contractors. She previously served as chief engineer and program manager at Leidos, held a systems engineering management role at Northrop Grumman and spent 12 years at Boeing in systems integration, flight test operations and flight test instrumentation.
Her background centers on modernizing technical operations through digital thread architectures and moving legacy environments into more agile operations.
Who Is Alexis Wenzel?
Wenzel is a business development executive who joins Sabel from BAE Systems, where she held the role of director of business development. She previously served as defense business development director at ICF, working on Department of War and Air Force initiatives.
Her background spans modeling and simulation, mission integration, testing and evaluation, and advanced mission systems, with experience shaping capture strategy and coordinating with government and industry partners on emerging technology priorities.
What Other Leadership Changes Has Sabel Systems Made Recently?
The appointments are part of a broader run of leadership moves at Sabel Systems this year.
In February, the company named Stephen Vukovich interim SVP and president of its ADAx business unit. Around the same time, Sabel also added Dolores Lowe as VP of business development for space digital.
Those hires followed two moves in January. Sabel appointed industry veterans Tina Dolph and Blake Larson to its board of directors, and days earlier, announced its acquisition of Centil to strengthen its digital engineering capabilities.
