CGI Federal has appointed Jessica Hersey, a more than 25-year federal government services industry veteran, as senior vice president of its defense, intelligence and space solutions business.

As government and industry continue advancing defense and space capabilities, leaders will gather at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 Air and Space Summit on July 30 to discuss the technologies shaping future missions. What Does Hersey Bring to CGI Federal?
In a LinkedIn post published Monday, CGI said Hersey brings more than 20 years of experience supporting defense and intelligence customers. She has led teams delivering enterprise architecture, IT modernization and cybersecurity initiatives.
The company added that her collaborative leadership approach and commitment to client success reflect CGI’s focus on building long-term partnerships while advancing secure and resilient mission capabilities.
Hersey’s appointment came just a week after CGI Federal named Alisa Bearfield, a federal IT modernization leader, president.
Who Is Jessica Hersey?
According to her LinkedIn profile, Hersey has more than 25 years of experience in the federal government services market, leading enterprise technology portfolios, business strategy and capture initiatives.
Before joining CGI, she was executive VP for growth and business development at Red River, where she led growth efforts following the acquisition of Invictus. She also served as SVP and general manager of Red River’s government technology systems business.
She also held leadership positions at Janes, Leidos and Lockheed Martin with oversight of business development, strategy, operations and technology modernization efforts supporting federal defense and intelligence customers.
The Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate holds a master’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the George Washington University.
