Concurrent Technologies Corp. announced Wednesday that it has selected Christopher Hamilton to replace retiring president and CEO Ed Sheehan, Jr. effective June 29.
“It is an honor to join Concurrent Technologies Corporation at such a pivotal time in its history,” Hamilton remarked. “I look forward to working with the talented CTC team to build on this legacy of delivering innovative solutions to hard problems that address the challenging needs of our nation.”
Sheehan, who confirmed his retirement in January, said that he was “pleased” with Hamilton’s appointment, adding that the new leader “brings great skills, experience, and attributes to the position. I am confident he will lead CTC well into the future. I wish him much success.”
What is Christopher Hamilton’s Career Background?
Hamilton most recently served as a partner for strategy and growth at AnaVation, an IT services and consulting firm. From 2023 to 2025, he was vice president of innovative technology solutions at Parsons. Prior to that, he spent more than 8 years in various senior executive positions at Xator, including vice president of engineering and analysis solutions. Before Xator bought CMX Technologies, Hamilton was president and chief operating officer of the defense and space manufacturer.
Hamilton enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1992. He was assigned to different branches of the Department of War, including as strategic intelligence officer of the Defense Intelligence Agency and electronic warfare officer of the National Reconnaissance Office. He also served as staff officer, being company executive officer and S3 operations officer, among others.
What Were Ed Sheehan’s Accomplishments at CTC?
Sheehan was president and CEO of CTC for 18 years. Under his stewardship, the firm completed Level 2 certification in the Department of War Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
The company also won three defense contract options to provide support in metal casting, energy resilience and cybersecurity. One of the contract options was awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency, continuing a study on critical metal casting production from 3D-printed sand-casting molds. The other two projects were issued by the U.S. Marine Corps for energy infrastructure management and cybersecurity.
