Military intelligence provider Janes has appointed Randy Nixon as president of its U.S. business after serving in the role on an interim basis since February.

The company said Tuesday Nixon will also continue to serve as chief customer officer through the end of the calendar year.

In February, Nixon assumed the role of interim U.S. president following the departure of Paul Tierney and led the U.S. business during a transition period that included work across sales, regional priorities and partnerships.

“Since stepping in as the interim leader, Randy has driven meaningful progress across the business while maintaining a clear focus on our customers and mission,” said Janes CEO Blake Bartlett. “His deep expertise and leadership experience position him well to continue advancing our U.S. operations.”

Who Is Randy Nixon?

Nixon is an intelligence leader who previously served as director of the CIA’s Open Source Enterprise.

In September, he joined Janes as chief customer officer.

He held other leadership roles at the agency, including director of digital futures within the CIA’s directorate of digital innovation and director within the agency’s advanced analytics office.
