What Does the Requirement Cover?

According to a notice posted Friday on the Acquisition Planning Forecast System, the Coast Guard plans to award a firm-fixed-price contract for services supporting cyberspace operations across its networks and systems. The selected vendor will provide technical, operational, administrative and security management support aligned with cybersecurity functions. The scope also includes analytical support and subject matter expertise to support mission execution and safeguard Coast Guard infrastructure and information systems.

What Networks Are Included?

Tasks will focus on safeguarding data and systems across the Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network and the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network portions of the Department of Defense Information Network.

What Are the Contract Details?

The anticipated award is scheduled for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, with solicitation release expected on May 28. The contract will be issued under the GSA Schedule vehicle and will run through July 24, 2031. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C.

Coast Guard Strengthens Cyber Operations Strategy

The requirement comes as the Coast Guard expands its cyber capabilities and workforce to address evolving threats. In 2024, the service established its first cyber-focused reserve units to support threat assessment, incident response and joint operations with U.S. Cyber Command. These efforts align with CGCYBER’s mission to defend networks, protect the Marine Transportation System, and counter nation-state actors and other cyber threats.
