Mike Risik Named VP of Business Development at Precise Systems

Precise Systems has appointed Michael “Mike” Risik as vice president of business development.

The Lexington Park, Maryland-based company said Wednesday Risik will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of Precise Systems’ advanced engineering, digital transformation and mission-focused technology portfolio.

Who Is Mike Risik?

Risik is a retired U.S. Navy captain and engineering leader with over two decades of experience in naval engineering, acquisition and program execution, specializing in naval nuclear propulsion and advanced weapons systems.

“Mike brings a deep understanding of the mission, the customer, and the complex acquisition environments that shape today’s defense programs,” said Matthew Orsino, chief growth officer of Precise Systems. “His technical depth, leadership experience, and strategic perspective will strengthen our ability to expand partnerships, pursue critical opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions that support the warfighter.”

What Experience Does Risik Bring to Precise Systems?

He most recently served as special projects director for the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear program, where he developed a $600 million risk-reduction strategy supporting a strategic weapons initiative valued at more than $6 billion. Risik also served as director of strategic solutions and solution architect at Valkyrie Enterprises, where he led expansion strategy, capture efforts and partnership development.

Risik served in the Navy, holding leadership roles such as chief operating officer, and deputy commander and chief engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division.
