This new capital will be used to accelerate the development and deployment of quantum-enabled cameras, the company announced Wednesday on LinkedIn. The technology is designed to support advanced sensing capabilities for Earth and space intelligence as artificial intelligence expands into physical environments.
The cameras will feature high-resolution imaging to enable machines to perceive and understand the physical world with greater precision, supporting new applications in space infrastructure, robotics, defense and autonomous systems.
Diffraqtion said testing of its systems in the field is scheduled to begin later this month, with support from a global network of hardware experts.

The investment round saw participation from SBI US Gateway Fund, Plug and Play Tech Center, Collaborative Fund, Wolf Point Capital and Parallel VC. It also includes a follow-on contribution from ADIN. The round adds to prior backing from QDNL Participations, milemark•capital, Aether VC and Offline Ventures.
Additional Funding & Government Support
The new investment follows $4.2 million in pre-seed funding the company secured in February to continue developing quantum imaging systems. Diffraqtion also received a $1.5 million Direct-to-Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to demonstrate its quantum camera technology.
