MDA Names Awardees for $400M AE Services IDC

The Missile Defense Agency has named the seven companies awarded spots under the architectural and engineering, or AE, services indefinite delivery contract, also known as IDC, valued at up to $400 million.

The multiple-award contract supports the Ballistic Missile Defense System Mandatory Center of Expertise, the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center Huntsville Center and their customers, according to a notice posted on SAM.gov Tuesday.

What Is the AE Services IDC 5.0?

AE Services IDC 5.0 provides the full spectrum of facility architectural and engineering services, including new or rehabilitation design of missile defense complexes. Work on the contract covers the development of tactical and non-tactical facilities, like those for radars, communications and mission control.

Awardees will also be in charge of submitting design-related analyses and studies, economic analyses and cost estimates for missile launch.

The IDC has a 36-month base period of performance with two 24-month options and a broad geographic scope that includes the United States and its territories, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Japan, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
