Empower AI has received a U.S. Army contract worth more than $200 million to modernize critical infrastructure across over 80 Army installations to enable real-time analytics, improve energy resilience and strengthen operational readiness objectives.
The Reston, Virginia-based company said Thursday it will support the Army Metering Program, or AMP, under the multiyear contract awarded by the Army Information Systems Engineering Command Mission Engineering Directorate.
“Readiness depends on resilient infrastructure that provides the Army with the real-time visibility needed to anticipate and respond to operational demands,” said Empower AI CEO Jeff Bohling.
“Through this program, we will strengthen the Army’s energy resilience, accelerate modernization, and deliver secure, scalable solutions that drive mission success,” added Bohling, a two-time Wash100 awardee.
According to the company, AMP is managed under the Army Materiel Command through the Total Engineering and Integration Services IV contract vehicle.
Army Metering Program Support Contract
Empower AI will oversee engineering, furnishing, installation and testing initiatives nationwide to secure and modernize the Army’s operational technology environments, including industrial control systems, energy and water metering, facility-related control systems and SCADA systems.
Under the contract, the federal IT services provider will provide standards-compliant platforms with full lifecycle support, including procurement, configuration, cybersecurity compliance, integration, deployment and sustainment support for meters and monitoring devices.
The company incorporates predictive analytics into infrastructure monitoring to help Army operators identify risks, predict equipment failures and maintain operational readiness.
